Let’s do better for one another.
What will your legacy be?
This is a question I ask myself when I want to be sure I am focusing on my life path in an intentional way. My name is Katrina Liew Wilson and my journey into becoming a global educator promoting equitable access was born out of my lived experience with exclusion. I’ve learned to find common ground amongst differences to center excluded communities in the work I do to empower individuals to make communal change through advocacy. As a polymath, my diverse career and life experiences have always aimed at creating a legacy of living authentically and fully through wellness and having a wide array of special interests. I’ve held senior-level positions in People & Culture, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and led many Learning & Development Training initiatives.
For over 20 years, I have moved from individual contributor to People Leader, student to instructor to mentor, and from learner to educator. The foundation across it all has been: healing ourselves to exhibit more compassion to one another.
My Background
I hold a Master of Science from California University of Pennsylvania (now known as Pennsylvania Western University) and hold certifications in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Cornell University and the University of South Florida. I also a Human Resources Professional certification from HRCI.
My volunteer and memberships include being a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success, an Action for Healthy Kids Ambassador, a Health Chair for the Hillsborough County NAACP Chapter, a contributor to Oxygen Magazine, a founding member of WRKiiT, an ACE Pro, and Subject Matter Expert, Chair of the Equity and Inclusion Board with IDEA Health and Fitness Association, member of the Greater Miami chapter of Girls, Inc. 150+ Women Strong, and a Board Member for PRISM South Florida.
My Approach & Philosophy
My approach to wellness & well-being solutions is all about empowering leaders to find compassion through self-awareness that can positively impact their community and company settings. I’m big on making sure everyone feels included, with diverse mindsets and lived experiences taken into consideration. I’m committed to being a part of making spaces inclusive, equitable, and fair for everyone. We might shake things up to think with more innovation, but this is what it takes to sway away from the way things have always been done.
For me, this isn’t just a method – it’s a promise to create a welcoming, balanced atmosphere where everyone, especially those who’ve often been left out, can thrive and feel like they belong.
